Happy Friday! Giant Date is always here to give you tips on how to meet wealthy men, but we also want to share our favorite novels with you as well and as always we want to hear your opinions.
Today we start off with Rainwater by Sandra Brown. I give this book a Ten. Rainwater is not a typical Sandra Brown novel at all. It is not your typical romantic thriller, there are no breakup to makeup, and shockingly it hardly contains any explicit sex. Bummer. There is a flip-side.
The novel takes place in 1934 Texas. There is an economic depression going on and racism is obviously ongoing and you follow the journey of two lovers who teach each other to live and love at any cost. The main characters will stay with you long after you’ve read the book. It’s a very emotional read so have your tissues ready!

So you went on your first date with the guy you’ve been talking to and it seems like they switched the sweet, witty guy you were speaking to online for weeks for his evil twin:
Chatting online dating online has many perks and in most cases you will get a true idea of what this person may be like. However there are cases in which the person is acting or pretending to be someone or something else. He may fail to mention things that are crucial to this person’s tendencies and true personality overall. A perfect example is my best friend: Adriana. She recently was speaking to a good looking and charming guy online. Things seem to be going wonderful and she was just dying to meet him.
They made a date to meet and all seemed well when he picked her up. They went to a local bar and had a couple of drinks when he mentioned he was in the mood for some “coke.” Adriana can be naive at times and though she’s never experimented with cocaine she didn’t think much of it. They walked to his car and ended up in a less than nice neighborhood where he asked to “borrow” 20 dollars because he didn’t have change. Basically this was the end of the date, since he didn’t return until the following morning.
My friend fell asleep in this idiot’s car waiting for him to score his cocaine. Needless to say when he returned he had no money, no cocaine and he had lost his cell phone and car keys. My friend phoned a cab and left him behind and never spoke to him again.
If you’re on a date and the guy wants to score some drugs rather than scoring with you it’s time to call it a night before things get out of hand. Basically before you go on a date you should know and should have asked if this
person uses drugs at all and if so, how often and for what reasons. (It can be totally recreational or a little pot which is really no big deal..)
If indeed you’re taken by surprise much like Adriana, you should end the date as soon as it comes up or perhaps, discourage the idea. If he persists even though you opposed, it’s really time to go home…
I was one of those many readers who loved the first four books but was harshly critical of The Fiery Cross, her fifth book. This book is funny, moving, inciteful, and full of adventure. It has great character studies. Bree and Roger finally come into their own in this book.
Could the book have been shorter? Maybe. There were certainly times where I thought a certain digression wasn’t really necessary to the story, but Ms. Gabaldon is such an excellent story teller that I didn’t really mind.

We highly doubt this is true, but it would be juicy if it were!
The National Enquirer is reporting that Oprah Winfrey is preparing to publish her own tell-all book in which she’ll finally reveal the true story of her relationships with both Stedman Graham and her best friend Gayle King.
Her long personal and professional connection with Gayle King has sparked rumors that they are gay, but Winfrey denies it in an upcoming interview with ABC’s Barbara Walters. ”I’m not even kind of a lesbian,” Winfrey says.
I kind of wish Oprah was gay. Could you imagine what that would do for gay rights? Same-sex marriage would be passed in every state like tomorrow, and she could take everyone on a honeymoon!

A&E has pulled the plug on reality show, The Hasselhoffs, after only two episodes. The show followed the former America’s Got Talent judge and Baywatch legend, 58, as he guided the music careers of his two daughters, Taylor Ann and Hayley.
The first episode was seen by 718,000 viewers, and the audience sank to 505,000 the second week. That means more than half the people who watched the show preceding “The Hasselhoffs” on A&E’s Sunday schedule, “Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels,” turned the TV off or changed channels when Hasselhoff appeared. The Kiss musician’s show had an audience of 1.4 million.

Fighting about money is one of the leading causes of disharmony and discontent in relationships, however if you follow these tips you are well on your way to reduce fights over money.
Come Together, Now
Being in a relationship where one partner manages all financial dealings is going to lead to one partner left in the dark and oblivious to what’s happening with money. If one person is more savvy than another, they should assist, not exclude the less savvy partner. No one wants to carry all that stress alone anyway.
Develop a budget…together
With or without the help of a professional, you need to develop a monthly budget and stick to it. Sit down together and map out your expenditures. Try to put money into savings every paycheck and establish an emergency fund for unexpected expenditures.
Keep some financial independence
Within the relationship by setting aside an agreed amount of money for individual discretionary spending. This is not to be confused with a secret, hidden stash (and I know you all know what I am talking about). I am suggesting an open and honest discussion regarding financial independence agreed upon between you and your partner for discretionary spending.
