Women in fact do tolerate pain much better than men. Perhaps, women may whine a little more in general and what not, but when it comes to pain we just tolerate it better. Maybe it’s the way we’re naturally wired. Women normally begin to complain about pain when it’s really becoming unbearable. I’m not sure if to be proud of this or not, because who wants pain? Pain stinks… I suppose we’re natural born masochists just as well.

It’s no wonder that women are the chosen gender to give birth, have menstrual cramps, waxing and the array of painful situations we put ourselves through and become fairly accustomed to it as we dismiss the pain. Meanwhile, men suffer less pain throughout their lifetimes unless theirs a specific situation. But if not they whine so much more than women at the sign of a stuffy nose or a little cramp on their neck.

A recent study done on military vets discovered that women reported less on issues pertaining pain than their male peers. Also, On Myth Busters, subjects of both genders were asked to dip their hands in freezing water. Women lasted approximately 19 percent longer than men.

Though men physically are stronger (the majority) than women, their threshold for pain isn’t as extreme as that of a woman.
Read more Dating Tips On Clues That Indicate That He’s Into You

Have you ever had the urge to tell your man to “man up?” Perhaps, because he’s not able to fix a kitchen cabinet or change the alternator in the car, things in that nature…The world as we know it has done a complete 180 degree turn and the roles that each gender use to have no longer applies, not in their entirety, anyways…

Maybe you grew up watching your father do all the handy work around the house and tuning up the car and he was what women would call a “real man.” But as I said times have changed and these roles/chores that men from our childhood were accustomed to doing no longer apply. It might suck because these things were engraved into our DNA but a lot of men now a days have no clue as to how to fix a car or assemble a shelf.

It’s very much like how women are suppose to do all the cooking, cleaning, taking care of children, etc. Though this may be a big part of our lives (especially the kids) we hold down job/careers, some of us don’t cook and those who can afford the luxury of someone else to do the cleaning for them, hire someone.

So should you ask your man to man up?

Well, think about it…If you ask him to do this, would it be a total double standard? Are you Miss Betty Crocker- or do you have a job and slack off in preparing meals or maybe you’re just not good at it and don’t enjoy cooking.

What I’m trying to say is if you’re asking him to “man up” based on a stereotype, perhaps, you shouldn’t. As a woman think about all the stereotypes that have been pinned on you and you wish you could just shed them off because they don’t represent you as individual.

Just because your man is not “Mr. Handy” doesn’t mean he’s not a real man or that he needs to man up. As long as he takes care of his share of responsibilities, whether he does it on his own or pays someone else to do it or seeks help is what matters. Guys now a days are more techy for one and for another which is a great perk, are much sensitive than the “real men” that we grew up looking up to.

Don’t ask him to “man up” unless it’s truly necessary. At the end of the day, it’s insulting to ask him to “man up.” How would you like to be asked to “woman up?” What is that even suppose to mean? instead if spitting out words in that content, instead suggest watching a YouTube tutorial together on some painting treatments or the likes. You can both learn together and then there’s no need for low blows that can cause resentment and insecurity.

There’s really nothing more infuriating than a guy that you’re dating when they do does disappearing acts just like a ghost. You spend an awesome weekend together and suddenly he vanishes. Why do they this? What should you do about it and why does it mean when he disappears just like that?

The most frustrating part is that we’re left to wonder and obsess until they miraculously resurface. This isn’t fair at all, so what’s behind your guy disappearing as a ghost would?

Why Does He Do This?

There are several explanations according to professionals:

#1. He might be very busy at work/business.

#2. He’s under the impression that you really don’t like him that much.

#3. He’s really not that into you as you thought. (Naturally this is the worst case scenario.)

#4. A switch goes off. He already has you so he doesn’t feel compelled to put as much effort. The hunt has come to an end.

What Should You Do About It?

Text him and give him 24 hours to reply back. I mean no matter how busy a person is they can spare 3 minutes out of a day at least to show some kind of interest/common courtesy. If they don’t text back or reply within this time period, delete his information and begin erasing him from your mind. There’s no reason you should be giving more than what you’re receiving.

If he’s the type that likes a challenge and the hunt if you will? Then you should back off some, for this is the only way to salvage any possibility with this kind of individual. (Which I think it’s a waste of time) But keep your schedule busy, refocus on yourself and hopefully, he’ll come back hunting you down.

At the end of the day, unless you like being in the dark, guys that do this and don’t offer any kind of explanations are probably not ready to be in a committed relationship. Don’t set your hopes up high for ghost guys, they’re unpredictable, selfish and they really just don’t care about much outside their own personal desires. However, there are exceptions, just always guard your heart.

Dating Tips on What Dudes Really Want To Ask You

You might be thinking that talking about your period, getting married and other girl issues and girl cliches are guys biggest turn off, but you’re wrong. Sure, I don’t think they particularly enjoy hearing about your heavy period, getting married (when they’re not ready,) etc. But for most guys now a days the biggest turn off for them in a woman is a “potty mouth.”

Yes, I was just as surprised when I heard this- though something inside of me did tell me it wasn’t very lady-like and comes off very vulgar. Well, guys feel the same. This doesn’t mean you can’t slip the “F” word once in a while. It happens, it’s engraved in our minds/tongues. But if you swear all the time, a lot of guys are going to find it to be the biggest turn off ever.

You’d think guys be use to this kind of language from a woman’s mouth by now but for them it’s like burps and passing gas, seriously inappropriate and a big turn off.

Are you a foul mouth babe? Planning to change or stick to your ways? Drop your comments, we’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic here on Giant Date Blog!

I think it’s been perfectly established that men and women are very different in nature and in the way our brains are wired. It’s aggravating but it’s a fact and while they have to deal with our mood swings and emotions, we have to learn to deal and learn why our guys have jerky reactions to certain things. We need to educate ourselves to get a better understanding of their “misconduct” and jerkiness.

Here are some jerky moves guys make when baffled, upset or just being a weirdo. Accompanied by the jerky moves comes an explanation, that will make it all so much clearer for you.

1. He goes into his own world when you’re speaking to him.

Guys, at least the majority of them can only handle one task at a time. If he’s not paying attention to you is because he’s most likely submerged and focused on something else. With guys- when they have something on their minds of relevant significance, there’s only room for that.

2. Around his friends he pokes fun and teases you.

Not all guys, but many of them once they’re around their friends, it’s like switch flips. He’s totally in guy mode and you know how guys joke around and rough each other up, well they kind of forget who you are and start doing the same. But ultimately he just wants you to fell included. So give the dude a break unless he’s disrespectful. But if he’s just being a little crude and a goof ball, don’t be a stick in the mud, just poke back. It’s fun!

3. He’s not sympathetic about your crappy day.

Guys are logical and don’t mean to come off as unsympathetic. While you’re ranting about how you’re so very mad at co-worker or anything else, he’s just thinking of a solution, so you can get over it quickly. It’s kind of like when you rip a band aid off real quick to feel less pain. Well, they kind of see these problems like that, but it certainly doesn’t mean they don’t care.

4. He doesn’t help you with plans such as vacations.

Guys live on a day by day basis. Planning weeks or months ahead are almost irrelevant to them, they quickly dismiss these because they’re not happening right there, right now. He’s not trying weasel out of it, he’s just concerned about what he’s going to be doing in the next 5 to 10 minutes to really focus on something that is long term.

So here we’ve given you a clearer view to his psyche. Needless to say, this does not apply to all guys. But it’s a distinct similarity in most men. Give them a break and when you really need their attention 100 percent, call them out. Ask them to please slip out of their little world for a few moments because you’re trying to convey something to him of importance and you really need him to listen. Most likely, this will snap him back into your zone and you will have his undivided attention. Learning what his jerky moves mean will insure more understanding in your relationship.

Whether you’re shy or not sometimes letting a guy know you’re interested in him gets tricky. These are times I really wish they (men) knew how to read our minds. But that’s not going to happen so we’ve concocted some tips and methods that you can use to let him in on your little secret.

5 Ways of letting him know your interested:

1) Do Not Ignore Him.

We’re not kids anymore, if the ignoring method ever worked at all. Say “Hi” and smile. He’ll know you’re alive at the very least.

2.) Look Sexy.

Alright look sexy but don’t go over board. You want it look real natural and not as if you’re trying too hard. Guys will notice if you’re dressing to impress someone.

3.) Go Ahead and Make the 1st Move.

This maybe really nerve wrecking but you just have to get your act together and do it. Approach the guy your interested in at a party or bar and just mention how wild it is and how glad you are that you came. This will open the doors to perhaps, endless dialogue and maybe more.

4. Dig Deeper.

Don’t sit around talking about the weather. This is why we have weather forecasters for. Ask him what a cutie such as himself is doing all by his lonesome…Yeah, it seems kind of straight forward, but after he’s done blushing and what not, he’ll be totally flattered and smittened with your confidence.

5. Don’t Flirt With Other Guys.

If you have your eyes set on one guy, don’t let him watch you flirt with a bunch of guys. It just doesn’t look “nice” if you will? This however, doesn’t mean not to talk to guys. There’s a big difference in friendly chatter and up right flirting. He’ll also, might think you’re not interested in him.

I don’t believe there are any key points or elements that can really make a relationship successful. There’s tons of advice thrown at “one” via magazines and blogs and “Dr. Phil…” (Of course) But just the fact that your trying to make your relationship successful, kind of sounds like you’ve already miserably failed. What does success in relationship mean? And what constitutes a successful relationship? Is there like a handbook or bible on relationships. We’re all unique on our own so every single two people that hook up experience a completely different thing, sure their maybe similarities, but still not the same.

I feel that before you even begin to think of making your relationship successful, you should be asking yourself why do you need it to be a success? It’s not your job, or a mission/project or some kind of experiment where you should feel pressured to coming up on top. When you find someone you can connect with both physically and mentally it’s success enough. How you keep this going on for an indefinite amount of time should be your goal and by ripping off this misconception that “relationships should be successful” is the first step.

As long as you feel like you’re two peas in a pot, you’re in the best place you can be. Don’t allow drifting apart to commence by superficial and unrealistic expectations. Have each others back and love and fight hard. Respect each other and each others’ interests, space and opinions. Nothing is ever going to be 100 % but you can bet your butt that if you keep things simple as they were when you first met, you’ll surely have a “happily ever after.” Isn’t that enough of a success?

Have you ever been to dinner, say a Chinese restaurant- even an all you can eat one and you stuff your face like there’s no tomorrow, but an hour goes by and you’re actually feeling famished as if you didn’t just eat half of the entire buffet? This also happens with fast food restaurants and with other foods. If you want to remain satisfy longer while having control of your weight. You need to remember these three things: Protein, Fiber & Healthy Fats. Most of the things we truly enjoy eating don’t contain any of these three things, therefore, you become hungry again, soon after eating.

Here’s a list and tips on Foods that are good for and that will keep you full:

1. Nuts.

Nuts have a perfect combination of protein, fiber and Healthy Fats. To avoid a calorie overload stick to about an ounce of nuts and you should be filling nice and full. Also, almonds, walnuts and pistachios are highly recommended by nutritionists.

2. Lentils and Beans.

When you eat these, you’ll most likely eat less of anything else. Lentils and Beans and beans are very high on protein, therefore, extremely filling. They’re also, high on complex carbohydrates the kind that take long in breaking down, therefore, also, keeping you full.

3. Apples.

Yes, apples in deed re filling and best of all, they’re only 80 calories, but one apple can be as filling as an entire meal for it has 4 grams of fiber and is high on water. Apples are truly a bargain.

4. Oatmeal.

Oatmeal is jam packed with loads of fiber. Meaning it breaks down quickly, but its also very high on protein- between 4 to 7 grams, which in turns keeps you fuller and energetic.

5. Avocados.

Yum, not only are they delicious but are packed with healthy fats which may help slow he rate in which your stomach empties. It keeps you full for much longer! They’re also packed with potassium, Vitamin E & folate. In a nutshell, it’s very good for you and it keeps you feeling full much longer.

6. Eggs.

Approximately 70 calories per egg, though it delivers more than 6 grams of protein. Again protein keeps you full and also, energetic. A study done for the American Study for Nutrition showed that women that ate eggs for breakfast lost much more weight than women that ate the supposed more heather choice: a bagel which ironically contains the same amount of calories. Perhaps id that protein factor!

These foods/snacks are not so bad after all. They can be quite tasty. Instead of eating a Big Mac for lunch, have an apple and some nuts, you’ll find that in the long run you will feel more full and eat less in the long wrong. Besides weight issues, these foods are certainly much healthier than a Big Mac, Chinese food, etc. Naturally, treat yourself from time to time but just remember that to feel full and get the right amount of different nutrients you don’t need to stuff your face.
